The participant undoubtedly has a great deal of control over and responsibity for his or her own safety.  His or her knowledge, skill, preparation, physical fitness, self awareness and judgement are critical to preventing accidents and reducing injuries. Consideration for the other participants is essential to the safety and enjoyment of all.
